History of Conn Equipment Rental

Conn Equipment Rental Company, Inc., was founded in 1946 by Fred L. Conn. Being a pipewelder by trade, Mr. Fred opened a welding and machine shop. He began by fabricating structural steel and later began erecting it. This brought on the need for a crane, which Mr. Fred built in 1954. This crane was later traded toward a new crane and the company's tradition began.

Over the years, Conn Equipment has served many parts of the southeast, lifting almost anything imaginable. We now operate from two convenient locations. Our home office is in Sylacauga, Alabama, and we have a branch office in Montgomery, Alabama. We currently operate a fleet of cranes ranging from 8 to 250 tons capacity.
